Community Guidelines
Rise Up is built for Black community, culture, connection, business support and respectful conversation. These rules apply across posts, Groups, Clips, listings, profiles and messages.
Respect people and identity
- No hate, slurs, dehumanization, targeted humiliation or discriminatory exclusion.
- No harassment, threats, stalking, bullying or coordinated abuse.
- No impersonation or misleading identity claims.
- No sharing another person’s private information, images or messages without permission.
Keep people safe
- No credible threats, glorification of violence or instructions intended to harm others.
- No sexual exploitation, non-consensual intimate content or content involving sexual abuse of minors.
- No scams, extortion, coercive money requests, deceptive investment pitches or pressure to move conversations off-platform.
- No dangerous sale, solicitation or promotion of prohibited goods or services.
Post authentic, useful content
- Use accurate titles, categories, locations and descriptions for listings and businesses.
- Do not spam, manipulate engagement, mass-message strangers or post malicious links.
- Respect copyrights, trademarks, publicity rights and other intellectual-property rights.
- Use Groups for their stated purpose and follow group-specific rules.
How enforcement works
Members can report content, profiles, listings and conversations, and can block other users. Administrators may review reports and safety flags, request more information, change moderation status, remove content, disable discovery signals, delete feature profiles or restrict accounts. Enforcement considers context, severity, history, immediate danger and legal obligations.
Emergencies
Rise Up is not an emergency service. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. Preserve relevant evidence and use the in-app reporting tools after safety is addressed.
